Taz Fataar is a Brisbane-based Accredited Social Worker with experience across mental health, trauma, domestic and family violence, child protection, homelessness, neurodiversity, addiction, and psychosocial support services. She has worked across government, community, crisis, and private practice settings supporting individuals experiencing complex biopsychosocial challenges including PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, substance use concerns, identity and self-esteem issues, and systemic disadvantage.

Taz's clinical approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally responsive, and client-centred. She integrates evidence-based interventions including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and recovery-oriented practice to support emotional regulation, resilience, behavioural change, and long-term wellbeing outcomes. She is passionate about creating a warm, safe, and non-judgemental therapeutic environment where individuals feel empowered to explore their experiences and reconnect with their strengths.

She also has experience in crisis intervention, risk assessment, advocacy, professional supervision, stakeholder collaboration, and court-ready documentation. Her practice is grounded in the Social Work Code of Ethics, with a strong focus on dignity, cultural safety, empowerment, and social justice.
