Jodie Loy is a highly experienced Social Worker and Counsellor with more than a decade of practice across mental health, child and family services, domestic and family violence, and First Nations wellbeing.

Jodie holds postgraduate qualifications in both Social Work and Counselling, alongside specialist training in Domestic and Family Violence Responses and Indigenous Mental Health and Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB). Her career spans senior clinical, operational leadership, and academic roles across Queensland Health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations, EAP services, and universities.

She has worked extensively in women’s services, forensic mental health, child protection, youth services, and Indigenous health, and currently serves as Manager – First Nations Services at TELUS Health, alongside tutoring roles at Griffith University and Charles Darwin University.

Jodie’s practice is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and systems-focused, with a strong emphasis on safety, empowerment, and relational healing. She brings particular expertise in complex trauma, family violence, intergenerational harm, and collaborative care within statutory and multidisciplinary systems.
